Here’s What We Talked About Today, November 10th!
Honouring Our Veterans
We started the morning with a moment of reflection for Remembrance Day. We highlighted Charlottetown’s Veterans Bus Shelter Project, which is honouring two new local heroes this year: Capt. George Alwin Gauthier and Pte. Elliott Gordon MacKay. This wonderful initiative, in partnership with T3 Transit and the P.E.I. Regiment Museum, now features ten tribute posters across the city. Be sure to look for them until November 16th.
What’s the Buzz?
Our daily dose of pop culture news was buzzing with excitement:
- Local Art Goes Global: P.E.I. artist Paul Alan’s work was just displayed digitally at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris! How amazing is that?
- King of Pop on the Big Screen: We got a first look at “Michael,” the new Michael Jackson biopic. Starring his nephew Jaafar Jackson and featuring over 30 of his iconic songs, it’s sure to be a thriller.
- Stranger Things, Calmer Times: Despite rumours, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown looked perfectly friendly at the “Stranger Things” Season 5 premiere, putting any drama to rest.
Literary Legends and Palm Readings
The one and only Margaret Atwood joined the conversation to discuss her new memoir, “Book of Lives.” She even did an on-air palm reading and joked about being a grudge-holding Scorpio. On a more serious note, she reflected on writing about people who have passed, giving her the freedom to tell their stories.
The Great Bearista Cup Frenzy
Have you seen the new Starbucks “Bearista Cup”? This adorable teddy bear-shaped glass cup (that looks suspiciously like the Kraft Peanut Butter bear) has caused a frenzy. Reports are flying that baristas bought them all before they even hit the shelves, and they’re now selling for over $100 on eBay!
A Cinematic Surprise
Cineplex is shaking things up with “Monday Surprise Premieres.” Starting November 10th, you can buy a discounted ticket to a mystery movie. You won’t know what you’re seeing until the opening credits roll! It’s a bold move to get people back into theatres, which are still recovering from the pandemic.

- Darcy: Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee Machine & Tickets to the Def Leppard & Journey 2025 Tour

Cloning Fido: Tom Brady’s New Pup
In a story straight out of science fiction, Tom Brady revealed his new dog, Junie, is a clone of his late pet, Lua. Using “non-invasive cloning technology” from Colossal Biosciences, they created a genetic twin. While fascinating, it’s a controversial topic, with polls showing many find it morally questionable—and it comes with a hefty $50,000 price tag.
Community Corner
We’re putting out a call for River Clyde Arts! They are searching for a permanent home for the beloved River Clyde Pageant and need at least 5 acres of land by March 2026.
