A 34-year old woman is facing charges of Assaulting a police officer and Resisting arrest in connection with an incident in the early morning hours on Sunday. Charlottetown Police stopped to intervene in an escalating argument between a man and woman on Great George Street. .
Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, but say the woman became physically aggressive. She was arrested and later released as she faces a court appearance on July 24th. One officer was treated at the QEH and released with minor injuries.
