An 18-year old driver has been arrested for Flight from Police after an incident Monday. At about 6:30 a.m. on Monday, RCMP Traffic Services was conducting speed enforcement in Cornwall when an 18-year-old driver was clocked traveling at 155 km/h along Route 1. When police tried to conduct a traffic stop, the driver fled from the officer at an even higher speed according to the RCMP. A short time later, the driver was located on Route 2, where police were able to successfully stop the vehicle. The driver, who is a Stage 3 graduated license holder, was arrested at the scene and given a fine of $750. The Mounties add that his unregistered vehicle was impounded. He is now facing a criminal code charge of flight from police.
