Charlottetown Police Chief Brad MacConnell named City’s new CAO

The City of Charlottetown is hiring from within to fill its Chief Administrative Officer position.  Charlottetown City Council has appointed Police Chief Brad MacConnell as the City’s new CAO, effective June 16th. Mayor Philip Brown says having someone who has been in a key leadership role within the City, who already understands the inner workings of the community, ensures a strong, steady hand guiding the continued growth of the City.  MacConnell has been Charlottetown’s Chief of Police since 2021 and a member of the Charlottetown Police Services for 30 years.  An interim Police Chief will be announced soon.
