On Wednesday, police on PEI arrested a Halifax man on firearm offences. PEI police received a request from Nova Scotia RCMP and Halifax Police for assistance in locating a 22-year-old Halifax man who was involved with firearm threats offences in Halifax. Police were able to locate the man at a motel in Brackley and the RCMP Emergency Response Team was deployed to arrest the 22-year-old. The man was taken back to Dartmouth and he’s been charged with Uttering threats; Use of an imitation firearm while committing an offence; Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and Carrying a concealed weapon.
