YYG Charlottetown Airport and Air Transat announce service to Cancun

The Charlottetown Airport Authority has announced a new partnership with Air Transat that will offer direct flights from Charlottetown to Cancun, Mexico, starting in February 2026.  Air Transat will operate weekly Wednesday flights between YYG Charlottetown Airport and Cancun International Airport. Charlottetown Airport Authority CEO Doug Newson says Cancun has been a highly requested destination, and they’re confident that this direct service will be a great success.  The seasonal service will run from February 18th to April 22nd, catering to winter travel demand. The service will be operated with the 198-seat aircraft.
