A 25 year old Charlottetown woman is facing several charges after an incident Tuesday afternoon. Charlottetown Police were called to the Mall on University Avenue about a woman who was shoplifting, and when a store employee tried to stop her, she pushed her way through and ran for the Mall exit. Police say a man tried to stop her, but both fell to the ground and the woman got up and ran off while threatening the man. Responding offers got a description of the woman and located her near Buchanan Drive and arrested her. She has been charged with Robbery; Theft under $5000; two counts of Assault; and two counts of Uttering threats.
