Small fire Wednesday at Southern Kings Consolidated School

A small fire broke out Wednesday in the main entrance area at Southern Kings Consolidated School.  The Public Schools Branch says staff acted quickly to safely evacuate all students from the building. The fire department responded quickly and was later able to give the all-clear for re-entry. Students were able to return to gather their belongings before boarding buses for regular dismissal.  The Public Schools Branch says that while the situation was managed safely, it understands that such an event can be concerning for some students.
