Prime Minister Mark Carney described his high-stakes meeting with U-S President Donald Trump as “the end of the beginning” of a new stage in the Canada-U-S relationship.
Carney met Trump at the White House for the first time since the Liberals won the election last week.
The P-M says the main topic was trade, and Tuesday was a good start.
During the public Oval Office meeting and privately, Carney also made it clear that Canada wasn’t for sale.
