Statistics Canada has released the results of the 2023 Canadian Health Survey on Children and Youth, which were combined with a survey done five years ago. They show that only 76 percent of young respondents in PEI said they were satisfied or very satisfied with their lives. That’s significantly lower than the national average, which was about 88 percent. Meanwhile, 51-percent of the young respondents in PEI considered their health as excellent or very good – the lowest in the country. And, 31-percent of the youth surveyed in PEI considered their mental health to be excellent or very good. That was second-lowest in Canada.
