Hurricane Ernesto transitioning to post tropical storm

Hurricane Ernesto started bringing “heavy surf” to Nova Scotia on Saturday.  The Canadian Hurricane Centre says the storm will continue to work its way northeastward, forecast to reach an area southeast of the Maritimes by Monday.  It says Ernesto will transition to a post-tropical storm as it moves south of Newfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula later that day.
