The Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit has arrested one person following an investigation into the illicit drug trade of selling Fentanyl in the Charlottetown area.
Last Friday night, police seized 339 grams of suspected Fentanyl, approximately 1000 suspected Xanax tablets, two cell phones and a vehicle. Charlottetown Police call it a large quantity of Fentanyl taken off Charlottetown streets with an approximate street value of $170-thousand. A 29 year old Stratford man has been charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, and Possession of Xanax for the purpose of trafficking.
The man has been remanded in custody and will soon appear in Provincial Court.
