Provincial officials have confirmed a report of dead fish discovered in Hyde Creek in Cornwall late Tuesday.
The discovery was reported to the Cornwall and Area Watershed Group. Staff from the departments of Justice and Public Safety and Communities, Land and Environment confirmed the report when they went and visited the site.
Staff from Environment and Climate Change Canada are joining provincial staff on site as part of the investigation. Water, soil, vegetation, and fish samples are being collected to be sent for testing.
