PEI felt the effects of Tropical Storm Phillipe on Sunday with strong winds and rain that disrupted travel and resulted in a few power outages in various parts of the province.
The wind had gusts up to 80 K and 100 K on the Northumberland Strait which caused cancellation of Northumberland Ferry service at Wood Islands and Caribou. The Confederation Bridge had a traffic restriction in place until the afternoon.
Charlottetown received the most rain….just over 22 mm.
8.6 mm in St. Peters Bay in Kings County and 5 mm in Summerside.
