As of Wednesday, pharmacies across PEI are now offering flu shots as the provincial influenza vaccination program is underway. Two vaccine formulations are available at pharmacies this year, and one is a high-dose version available to those 65 years of age and older.
Meanwhile, the new COVID-19 vaccine is expected to arrive within the next week or two. It’s hoped that the fact many people will be able to receive both their flu shot and their COVID-19 vaccine at the same time, will result in more people getting both vaccines.
