The Public Schools Branch is looking for a number of schools in the Charlottetown area to be expanded as they face overcrowding, and another school to be replaced.
The Public Schools Branch Board is suggesting that Sherwood Elementary School should be replaced, with a new school built at, or near, the current school site.
It also wants an expansion of 14 new classrooms built onto Stratford Elementary, and 10 new classrooms added to both LM Montgomery and West Royalty schools.
The Public Schools Branch will take these recommendations to the province, and it is the Government that will make the decision.
