142 new COVID-19 cases reported in PEI

For the week March 26th to April 1st, health officials are reporting 142 new cases of COVID-19 in PEI.  That’s up from 123 the previous week.  No new COVID-19 related deaths were reported, but 5 people were in hospital with COVID-19, including one patient being treated in the ICU.  Officials have confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks in three long term care or community care facilities.  An average of 97 tests were conducted per day for the week, with nearly 19 percent of those tests coming back positive.
