The provincial government will help MacDougall Steel Erectors with a major renovation and fit-up project at the former McCain plant in Borden-Carleton.
Details have been unveiled for the $7-million project which will see a full interior renovation and fit-up of the building, a new paint shop and blasting booth, and the purchase of production and steel handling equipment.
The company is projecting the addition of 126 jobs over the coming months. The province will provide $3.5 million in repayable financing for the project.
