It’s going to be bitterly cold weekend on the Island. Light snow will begin tonight and will become heavier on Friday morning on the Island that could cause blizzard-like conditions on the Island. Snow squalls can be expected with the highest amounts in eastern PEI that will continue on Saturday. Light snow will begin Sunday morning and end on Monday night according to PEI Stormchaser. Strong winds will blow in extremely cold air with wind chills as low as minus 30-40 on Saturday. But the cold snap will end Sunday as it warms up. The extreme cold wind chills will be dangerous for anyone going outside.
