It looks like a messy week of winter weather on the Island. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Monday.
PEI Stormchaser says it will be a snow and rain event as a low pressure system heads up from the southwest.
Some models say the storm will bring snow but will change to rain over Charlottetown and eastern PEI late in the afternoon on Monday.
There will be blowing and drifting snow as the wind changes to northeast.
20-40 cm of snow is possible with the higher amounts in central Queens.
More rain is forecast for Thursday as the temperature warms up as high as plus 10.
