There have been three new COVID-19 related deaths in PEI. Health officials did not provide any details regarding the individuals who had died. The latest deaths bring the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in PEI since the start of the pandemic to 79.
The weekly case data released Tuesday showed that there are 302 new cases of COVID-19 since the last update on November 22nd, with a median age of 59. Currently, there are three people in hospital with COVID-19, including one person in the ICU. There was an average of 161 tests per day over the past week, with over 22 per cent of those tests coming back positive.
