The minister responsible for Service Canada says residents on PEI can expect to have their own passport office soon.
Karina Gould says it’s not fair that Islanders have to travel to the mainland to visit a passport office.
Gould says she hopes to have an office open in a matter of weeks.
She says the government is working on other improvements to the passport application system.
