The Charlottetown Islanders find themselves down 2-0 in the Best of 5 preliminary playoff series in the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League, losing 11-1 at home to Moncton last night. The Fisher Cats led 4-0 early…and added five more runs in the 5th. Justin Cormier went the distance on a three-hitter Brody McDonald took the loss. Game 3 is tomorrow night in Moncton and game 4, if necessary is set for Monday night at 7.00 at Memorial Field.

Clayton Kershaw returned from the disabled list and helped the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 1-0 blanking of San Diego. Kershaw was limited to six innings in his first start since July 23rd. The Dodgers have 92 wins.
