One of Charlottetown’s most beloved hockey volunteers passed away on Thursday at Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Billy Mulligan, who was 81, was a former player and coach, manager of the old Charlottetown Forum, and a key volunteer for the UPEI men’s hockey Panther team and booster club. He was honoured with a banner that was raised at the MacLauchlan Arena by the Panther in 2013. Billy was the brother of former UPEI coach Vince Mulligan. There will be private visitation and funeral service in Stratford at the Hillsborough Funeral Home.
