PEI’s unemployment rate rose to 10.2 per cent in June from 10 per cent in May.
A strong seven month run in job creation stalled last month with a dip in 500 jobs.
There was a dip in March but things bounced back in April and May but slowed again last month.
There were 74,500 people working here in June out of a labour force of 83,000.
Nationally the unemployment rate was at 6.5 per cent.
Employment increased in Quebec and B-C.
Youth unemployment was at 12 per cent in June.
