Charlottetown’s three parkades are getting some upgrades.
The City will spend nearly $800,000 from its capital budget on the Queen, Fitzroy and Pownal Parkades.
$500,000 of the amount will go to expand the Fitzroy Street Parkade.
It’s not know at this time how many new parking spaces will be made available in the expansion.
Other upgrades will include new security cameras and stairwell doors for all three parking sites.
$16,000 will go toward two electric charge stations in one of the parkades with more electric cars expected in the near future.
A generator and new roll-up door for the Pownal Parkade will also be provided.
