The RCMP says a citizen helped one of its officers with an arrest early Monday morning.
It was late Sunday night that police got a call about a vehicle being stolen from Mount Stewart. Shortly after midnight, an officer spotted the vehicle and tried to stop it, but the driver got out and ran off.
A citizen was able to stop the suspect, and an 18-year old Mount Stewart man was arrested. He has been charged with possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, impaired driving, three breaches of probation charges and four charges of breaching of court orders .
