A 26-year old Summerside man was arrested Wednesday morning in what Summerside Police say was a high-risk takedown after a gun complaint.
Shortly after midnight, Summerside Police got a call from two people saying they were approached by a man carrying an “assault rifle” as they sat in a vehicle in a Heather Moyse Drive parking lot.
They fled, and police located the suspect a short time later in the downtown area and made the arrest. Police say he didn’t have the rifle when he was arrested, but it was later found in the man’s home. It turned out to be an airsoft style gun.
