Charlottetown-based iWave Information Systems has been bought by Gerry Lawless, Ross Beattie and a California-based investment firm, Sverica Capital Management, from longtime owner Jamie Hill.
Lawless says they will be keeping the headquarters in Charlottetown and growing the company in PEI through Sverica. Currently, iWave has 42 employees in PEI, and Lawless says they’re looking to add another 10 to 15 in charlottetown over the next 2 years.
iWave currently serves more than 2000 organizations, most of them non-profit. iWave basically provides them with the intelligence needed in fundraising and research development.
