The PEI government says it’s supporting the federal government’s response to new steel and aluminum tariffs being imposed by the United States.
Economic Development Minister Chris Palmer says the province will defend the interests of Island companies.
PEI companies exported over a $1-billion in goods and services for the first time to the U-S in 2017.
The province says it’s been working closely with the federal government during the NAFTA negotiations to ensure our supply management is protected as are the interests of Island businesses.
