Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit have charged a 37 year old Oyster Bed Bridge man after seizing over $750,000 worth of illicit drugs.
Police executed a search warrant at his home on Friday May 4th and as a result, a total of six charges have been laid against the man.
He faces two counts for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and one count for possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. He’s also been charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, unsafe storage of a weapon, and one charge of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
The accused remained in custody and is appearing in today for a show cause hearing.
Police estimate that the street level value of the drugs to be approximately seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars
