The education critic for the PC opposition didn’t get a clear answer of when repairs would be made to four elementary schools that are in need of a quick fix up.
Kensington-Malpeque PC MLA Matthew MacKay says leaking roof tops, broken boilers and even broken pavement in one of the schools are in need of repairs – 13 months after they nearly were closed.
Those elementary schools include Bloomfield, St. Louis, Belast and Georgetown.
Transporation and Infrastrucure Minister Paula Biggar responded by the saying the Public Schools Branch must make any decision on school repairs.
Biggar’s department oversees all work done by Public Works.
MacKay says the repairs need to be done as soon as possible
