Saturday is a national Day of Mourning to honour the memory of workers who have been injured or killed on the job.
The PEI Federation of Labour will be hosting the annual day of mourning with a ceremony at 7.00 this evening at St. Paul’s Hall on Prince Street in Charlottetown which will be followed by a publc reception.
The Day of Mourning was first recognized in Canada in 1984 and is now honoured by over 100 countries around the world.
