Summerside set a record of 36.5 mm of rain on Friday while Charlottetown came with 35 mm. The record for the Island capital is 36 mm on June 9th, 1981.
The eastern part of PEI received less rainfall. 23 mm in St. Peter’s Bay and 18 mm in East Point.
The wind was also strong blowing branches and leaves off the trees.
Thunderstorms and heavy rain rocked the Island last night but the sun came out on Saturday morning.
