The Native Council of PEI says it’s disappointed and saddened by the acquittal of the man charged in the 2016 murder of Colten Boushie, a 22-year-old indigenous man from Saskatchewan.
Lisa Cooper, President and Chief of the Native Council of PEI, believes that reconciliation is not happening in Canada for Indigenous peoples when they are treated unequally and cannot find justice.
