A new survey by Corporate Research Associates shows that once legalized, a small minority of Islanders plan to purchase marijuana at least occasionally for personal use.
Specifically, 15% of Islanders indicate that they will either definitely or probably purchase marijuana, once legalized, at least occasionally for personal use. Meanwhile, 84% of islanders will either probably not or definitely not make such a purchase.
At 7%, the intent to purchase marijuana for personal use, once legalized, is lower in Prince County than in Kings County and Queens County, which are at 19% and 18% respectively.
