As the third party, the Green Party will have double its seats in the legislature Wednesday afternoon.
That’s because Hannah Bell, the Green Party candidate who won the recent District 11 by-election, is being sworn-in as an MLA Wednesday morning in the Chamber in the Coles Building.
She will take her seat in the legislature Wednesday afternoon, joining Green Party Leader Peter Bevan-Baker, who had been the party’s sole representative in the legislature.
It’s an historic moment for not only the Green party, but island politics, as this will be the first time in PEI’s history that a third party will have a caucus.
