Summerside Police are investigating three separate impaired driving incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday at about 9:45 AM, a tip led Summerside Police to a suspected
impaired driver sitting in the drivers seat of a vehicle parked on Granville Street. The woman was arrested for impairment by drug after she failed a Standard Field Sobriety
Test. On Saturday night about 10:30 PM, police got a call about a possible impaired driver in the area of Prince County Hospital.
A 67-year old Summerside woman was arrested for impaired and provided two breath samples police say showed her to be more than twice the legal limit.
Then, about 2:40 AM Sunday, an officer spotted a vehicle in a ditch along Central Street. Police found the occupants of the vehicle a short distance away. They were assessed by Island EMS, and the driver, a 21-year old Summerside man, was arrested and provided breath samples that were twice the legal limit.
