The prime minister thinks it’s unlikely a U-S trade deal will be completely free of any tariffs. Mark Carney has told reporters the evidence suggests U-S President Donald Trump will not make any deals without some tariffs. Carney says the government will focus on building stronger auto, aluminum and copper sectors — all of which have been targeted by U-S tariffs. Carney is to meet next week with Premier Rob Lantz and the other Premiers.
