Health PEI, Dept. of Health, and Medical Society of PEI agree to proceed with mediation

Health PEI, the Department of Health and Wellness, and Medical Society of PEI have agreed to move forward with mediation to resolve outstanding items with regards to the Physician Services Agreement.  They issued a joint statement on Tuesday night saying that over the past number of days, they have engaged in meaningful and constructive dialogue — calling it “a positive step forward.”   Health PEI, Department of Health and Wellness, and Medical Society of PEI say they are united in their belief that the new Physician Services Agreement is a transformative milestone—not only for physicians, but for PEI’s entire healthcare system.  All three say they are confident that the goals of the Agreement will be met.
