A traffic note for Charlottetown… to avoid major traffic delays City contractors will be carrying out overnight paving work on University Avenue between Belvedere Avenue and Browns Court starting this afternoon at 3pm and lasting until 7am Monday morning beginning again at 7pm on Monday evening and lasting until 7am on Tuesday morning. A detour will be in place on the evening of July 6th only; the section of Belvedere Avenue between Queen Street and Mount Edward Road will be closed to through traffic, with local access only. Traffic control personnel will be on site to facilitate local access and move barricades as needed.
University Avenue will remain open to two-way traffic throughout this work; however, it will be reduced to one-lane in each direction.
Minor traffic delays are expected during this work. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in the area and to follow the directions of traffic control personnel on site.
