A 39-year old Alberton man is facing charges of Impaired Driving, Failing to Stop for Police, and Dangerous Driving after an incident last Tuesday night. After getting a Be On The Lookout Advisory from the RCMP about a possible impaired driver, Summerside Police located the vehicle on Heather Moyse Drive near the Canada Day event grounds. Summerside Police tried to conduct a traffic stop but the driver kept going. A second Summerside Police unit was able to cut off the suspect vehicle and force the suspect to stop. Police say the man showed clear signs of impairment and provided two breath samples: one registering three times the legal limit and the other twice the legal limit.
