The Toronto Blue Jays are now on the top of the American League East standings. George Springer hit two home runs in an 8-5 win as the Blue Jays swept a four-game series against the New York Yankees. The Red Sox were off.
Lady Devine took the featured pace Thursday night at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park with Ken Murphy at the reigns. They stopped the clock in 1:57.1 for trainer and owner Jennifer Doyle of Vernon Bridge. Live racing continues Saturday at 4 P.M. at Red Shores Charlottetown.
Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park will introduce special qualifying days beginning on Monday at 4:30pm. The Monday sessions will replace the qualifying sessions prior to the live race presentations on Thursdays and Saturdays at Charlottetown. Entries will be accepted Fridays by Noon in the race office. The Monday qualifiers will continue to July 28th.
