Members of The Prince Edward Island Regiment will fire a 21-round gun salute at 12:00 p.m. on July 1, 2025 at Victoria Park in Charlottetown.
This salute is part of the Canada Day celebrations.
The 21-round salute will be fired from one 105mm LG 1 Mark II Howitzer using blank ammunition which will give off loud noise and some smoke.
The Prince Edward Island Regiment is an Army Reserve unit based in Charlottetown and Summerside whose lineage dates back to 1875.
Officials say the movement and activity of Canadian Armed Forces vehicles and personnel will not pose a significant disturbance to the community.
