Former Minnesota House speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot and killed early Saturday and a massive search is into its second day for an American man who authorities allege posed as a police officer and fatally shot the Democratic state lawmaker in her suburban Minneapolis home.
Authorities allege the suspect also shot and wounded a second state lawmaker, Senator John Hoffman, and his wife in their home just 15 kilometres away.
Authorities are looking for a 57 year old man and the FBI is offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.
