MacFarlane wins leadership of Green Party of PEI

Matt MacFarlane has won the leadership of the Green Party of PEI.  The Borden-Kinkora M-L-A was elected leader at the Green Party’s leadership convention Saturday afternoon at Bluefield High School in North Wiltshire.  MacFarlane won over former M-L-A Hannah Bell, as he took just over 78 percent of the votes cast. Charlottetown-Victoria Park M-L-A Karla Bernard had been serving as the Green Party’s Interim Leader since Peter Bevan-Baker stepped down as party leader in 2023.
