L’nuey and Parks Canada are looking for board members for two newly established co-management boards.
The boards will play a vital role in the shared governance of the Pituamkek National Park Reserve and the PEI National Park and Parks Canada-administered National Historic Sites — providing strategic advice to the Mi’kmaq Nation Government of PEI and Parks Canada. Jenene Wooldridge, Executive
Director of L’nuey, says the establishment of those co-management boards is a significant step in ensuring that Mi’kmaq voices are at the forefront of decision-making. She says that by working together, their inherent rights and responsibilities are being honoured, while fostering a future of mutual respect and sustainability.
Those interested in joining one of the boards can learn more and apply through the L’nuey website.
