Driver charged with Flight from Police and Dangerous Driving in Kings County

On Tuesday afternoon, Kings District RCMP responded to several reports of an intoxicated man driving recklessly in Montague, Valleyfield and Kilmuir.  Police were able to locate the vehicle in Kilmuir, but the driver took off and the vehicle spun out of control and crashed into the ditch. The driver did not suffer any serious injuries, but was arrested and is being held in custody for a court appearance in Georgetown on Thursday.  Police say they found unsafely stored ammunition and brass knuckles.  The driver has been charged with Flight from Police; Impaired driving by alcohol and drug; Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon -Brass knuckles; and Dangerous Driving.
