Partnership between PEI and McMaster University to fast-track international doctors to work in Canada

The PEI government says a partnership between the province and Ontario’s McMaster University is fast-tracking international doctors to work in Canada.  Health P-E-I says the training program prepares international medical graduates to practice in Canada by having them work in hospital settings.   While much of their training will happen at McMaster, they will spend some time working on P-E-I.   Health Minister Mark McLane says this program helps international doctors transition into working in Canada while giving the provincial health system’s workforce a boost.
