Canada Post workers held rallies in 13 cities across Canada on Saturday to raise awareness about the ongoing labour dispute between the company and the union representing them. The rallies came amid escalating tensions between the two sides and what Canada Post has described as an impasse in efforts to reach a new collective agreement. Meanwhile, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers says it is inviting Canada Post to a fair, final and binding arbitration process to resolve the ongoing dispute. The union has been in a legal strike position as of last week, but so far has opted to ban members from working overtime instead.
